Iron Maiden beer not in Sweden yet...

by Otto Man

Iron Maiden‘s ‘Trooper’ beer officially hit the shelves in Europe this week, but not all of the markets are on board quite yet. Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet reports that sales of the beer have been halted in Sweden due to concern of the beer’s label running afoul of the country’s alcohol requirements. Therese Elmgren of Systembolaget, Sweden's state run liquor store monopoly Systembolaget told the paper: “There has been a discussion about the label. The alcohol law stipulates how it can look. We therefore don’t yet know when it can be launched.” The “Eddie”-emblazoned packaging mirrors the look and artwork for the band’s 1983 single, ‘The Trooper. ‘Trooper’ beer officially launched earlier this week during a special event at Robinsons Brewery in Cheshire, England, and is currently available only in European countries. More and more and more  and more  and more
