Metallica to play Rivera's retirement ceremony? And MUCH more.

According to the New York Daily News, Metallica is rumored to be taking part in New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera retirement ceremony on September 22nd at Yankee Stadium. The bands 1991 Black Album anthem has been a staple of Yankees games for years, as the entrance music of Rivera, who is considered to be one of the greatest closers of all time. Neither Metallica nor the Yankees have neither confirmed nor denied the rumors. Metallica is actually slated to be in New York the day before the ceremony to play the Apollo theater as part of the re-launch of the Metallica Sirius XM channel.

The band also played in Jakarta, Indonesia this past Sunday.
