The interwebs are buzzin' because Red Hot Chili Pepper's bassist Flea appears to developed some type of new magical method to get the sound from his bass into the sound systems without the use of audio cables or wireless transmitters (jump to about the 8:20 mark), a feat first pointed out by Fansided.com . And by "magical method" we mean they just recorded it ahead of time, Flea, Guitarist Josh Klinghoffer and Bruno Mars' horn section don't appear to be mic'd at all. Something pretty common during any huge production televised live. Flea seems to admit he didn't really have a choice in the matter, posting on twitter - @flea333
No trickery. No choice, but no trickery
Many suspect because of the weather, no a ton of outdoor shows take place when is 50 degrees out. So do you care? Are Rock and Roll Hall of Famers supposed to be better than that? Or is it about putting on the most entertaining show possible, even if it's not 100 percent live?
