Ribfest is more than beer and bands, rock and ribs... Did you know that all proceeds raised at Ribfest benefit the kids at Brennan Rock and Roll Academy?
Angie Kay caught up with some of the littlest rockers at Ribfest to find out more about their rockstar aspirations.

We found one of the rockstars of the Brennan Rock and Roll Academy. Jocelyn told Angie Kay, "I wanted somewhere where I could bond with people and not have to worry about being judged for anything." Brennan Rock and Roll Academy gives area youth a place to learn more about music. Students learn about leadership, confidence and teamwork.
We had a chance to catch up with some of the bands prior to their Ribfest performances. All the bands toured the Brennan Rock and Roll Academy facility and had an opportunity to give advice and answer questions from local Boys and Girls Club members. Most of the questions were music related, but we really enjoyed Tom Keifer's fun reaction to the question, "Do you have a dog? What kind is it?" Spoiler alert, he has a black lab/corgi mix, was inspired by the Beatles and his favorite contemporary music artists include Halestorm and Imagine Dragons.

Every artist had one comment in common when answering questions at the Brennan Rock and Roll Academy. It usually went something like this, "I wish I would have had a place like this to jam with my friends when I was a kid."
