It’s Thomas Vanek Night tonight as the Stampede host Cedar Rapids.  The first 500 fans to the Arena tonight will receive a Thomas Vanek bobblehead.

The Colorado Avalanche buried the Wild 5-4 last night.  Nonetheless, Minnesota had a good month, going 9-4-1 in January.

The Timberwolves hope to get two games above .500 when they host Memphis at Target Center tonight.

It’s Super Bowl weekend!  On Sunday, Seattle, the league’s best defense will face Denver, the NFL’s best offense of all time for Super Bowl XLVIII.  But, yesterday they were celebrating Eric Decker Day at Roccori High School in Cold Spring, MN.  Decker graduated from the small central Minnesota town just outside of St. Cloud in 2005 before he went on to play for the Golden Gophers in college and is now a favorite target of Peyton Manning for the Super Bowl bound Denver Broncos.
