by Cade

Quarterback, Matt Cassel has decided to void the final year of his contract with the Minnesota Vikings.  He'll pass on $3.75 million to become a free agent and will be able to sign with any team in the league.  That leaves Christian Ponder as the only QB under contract for the Vikes next season.

The 12th Man and then some showed up to welcome home the Super Bowl Champion Seahawks during their victory parade yesterday.  An estimated 700,000 gathered in Seattle for the festivities.  Previously, Seattle hasn't won any type of sports championship since the 1979 Supersonics did over three decades ago.

No Love = No Win.

Kevin Love sat out last night's game in Oklahoma City and it certainly showed.  He was recovering from a hard fall from the night before.  K-Love joined the other big star for the Wolves, Nikola Peckovic on the bench and the Thunder easily rolled over Minnesota 106-97.

The Minnesota Golden Gophers men's basketball team is struggling.  They've now dropped three in a row after a triple-overtime loss to Purdue last night.
