Hey remember this?
Some of your fellow South Dakotans want to see the green boom sweeping Colorado and Washington hit the Rushmore State. Legalizing Marijuana for recreational use is injecting cash into local economies and generating millions, some say potentially billions, in state tax revenue. Of course weed is still illegal on the federal level and pot shop owners run into a whole mess of problems when just trying put their money in a bank and pay their taxes.
Still stories about all the interesting stuff marijuana is a part of; from giving users a killer sense of smell, to stopping the spread of AIDS, to selling insane amounts of Girl Scout Cookies, are all the buzz right now.
So want weed here? Do something about it. South Dakotans Against Prohibition have a started a petition. You can sign it here.
