Andrew WK has revealed that he's been tapped to be the frontman for Ramones drummer Marky Ramone ’s upcoming tour. The notoriously hard-partying singer says that he’s excited to join forces with the legendary punk icon.
“I’ve never had a more rewarding, humbling, or challenging invitation than this, and I’m serving the gods via this incredible sound Marky and his band created,” said the singer in a statement. “There’s never been better rock ‘n’ roll music made than this, and I will give everything I have to do it justice.”
Fans who attend the upcoming performances can expect to hear WK belt out over 30 of Ramone’s “classic fan-favorite songs” from throughout his career.
