Chris Cornell has partnered with Gibson Guitars to release his own line of signature instruments. The Soundgarden frontman has designed two limited-edition guitars, which will be available at Gibson authorized dealers around the world this month.
The first model is an ES 335 with Lollartron pickups and a bigsby in army green, while the second is an ES 335 with Lollartron pickups in flat black. In addition, the signature instruments come with a Gibson guitar case signed by Cornell himself. Only 250 of each model will be sold.
“I am honored to have designed a Signature guitar for Gibson, and look forward to using it on tour with Soundgarden in May,” said Cornell in a statement.
In other Soundgarden news, the band will release a limited-edition 10-inch pink vinyl album on April 20 for the Record Store Day initiative. The record features six demos recorded during the sessions from their first album in over 15 years, King Animal . The release also comes with a free download card so you can enjoy the tracks on your digital devices.
