Producers for Australia’s upcoming Big Day Out festival have filled the headlining slot vacated by Blur with not one but three new bands. Beady Eye , Deftones and The Hives will now perform at the event, which takes place in major cities across the country January 19-February 2, 2014.
Blur dropped out of the festival’s lineup last month, noting on their Facebook page that “the constantly shifting goalposts and challenging conditions of the organizers” contributed to the band's decision to bow out of the event.
Other bands set to rock the main stage at the event include Pearl Jam , Arcade Fire , The Lumineers , Tame Impala , Grouplove , Portugal. The Man , Mudhoney and The 1975 , among others. To view the full lineup and get your tickets to the event, visit BigDayOut.com .
