Mumford & Sons have a new award to put next to their Album of the Year Grammy.  On Wednesday, the band captured the Best British Group trophy at the Brit Awards, the U.K. equivalent of the Grammys. 

"We weren't really expecting [to win],” frontman Marcus Mumford told the crowd, according to BBC News . “We were in a group with Muse and One Direction , so it's a surprise.  We love being British and we love going around the world and telling people we're British, so we're very proud and very grateful."

But Mumford wasn’t the only rock act to take home a trophy at the event.  Coldplay beat out veteran rockers The Rolling Stones to win the award for Best British Live Act, while The Black Keys picked up the award for Best International Group.
