Back in 2004, Sevendust went out on an acoustic tour to promote the release of their CD/DVD set, Southside Double-Wide: Acoustic Live . Now, guitarist John Connolly has revealed that the band has plans to hit the road for another set of stripped-down shows.
"There's a lot of talk, a lot of buzz kind of going around about another acoustic tour," Connolly tells The Lansing State Journal in a video interview. "We've always wanted to do one, but we really don't want to do it without a record, so we may be hopping in at some point to do some kind of an acoustic EP."
Connolly adds that fans will have to wait a while for the band to put out the acoustic record. "Ideally, it would be nice if we could get it kind of wrapped up before the end of the year, but I think, realistically, it might be January, February, March, somewhere around there,” he explains. The guitarist notes that the release will probably feature acoustic versions of “some older songs” and “a handful of newer songs.”
