SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A delegation from the Sioux Falls Convention and Visitors Bureau will be in Washington D-C next week working to lure meeting planners from across the nation to come to Sioux Falls.

     C-V-B Executive Director Teri Schmidt says the Destination Showcase is a one-day trade show where planners shop for a city to host their event.

     Schmidt says the showcase has typically been good for Sioux Falls.  She says it's a show that    C-V-B goes to every year because they've been able to book business.  Sometimes it can take two or three years, but it does produce business for Sioux Falls.

     Schmidt says the C-V-B sale team will return to the Capitol next month to meet, for a week, with association executives in the area and sell them on Sioux Falls.

     She says Sioux Falls has a nationwide reputation of being a friendly and affordable host city.
