SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Over eleven hundred fourth graders will descend on the S-D-S-U campus in Brookings on Tuesday for the 21st annual Big Sioux Water Festival.
Coordinator Deb Springman says the Festival offers hands-on activities and experiments to learn about water issues, conservation, aquatic life and how to protect the environment. She says fourth graders are very inquisitive and they ask a lot of questions. She says some of the teachers bringing their fourth graders to the festival attended it when they were kids.
Springman says the East Dakota Water Development District, the Brookings County Conservation District and S-D-S-U organize the Big Sioux Water Festival.
