Ever since Limp Bizkit dropped their new single, “Ready to Go,” last month, fans have been wondering when they will get their hands on the band’s new album, Stampede of the Disco Elephants . Guitarist Wes Borland says that if all goes well, the group is hoping that will happen sometime in September.
"We're really trying to get it hammered out here," he tells Billboard.com . "We're done with most of the music, pretty much all the music. The lyrics and vocals are probably 30 percent done, and [frontman Fred Durst ] is working as we speak, on tour."
Borland adds that the cuts on Stampede of the Disco Elephants sound “very live and sort of wild,” and that fans can look forward to the band exploring new creative avenues on the album. “I think it's a little bit more, sort of playful, taking chances, a little less pop, structured type of stuff,” he reveals. “I don't want to say it [sounds] younger, but maybe a little more carefree, musically, to where we don't over-think what we're doing.”
