If you've ever seen Limp Bizkit in concert, you've probably heard them cover Ministry 's 1989 single, “Thieves.” Now, the band is giving you the chance to check out their newly-recorded version of the track, which will appear on the band's upcoming album, Stampede of the Disco Elephants . You can score a free download of the song right now at the band’s official website .
Guitarist Wes Borland recently told Billboard the cuts on Stampede of the Disco Elephants sound “very live and sort of wild,” and that fans can look forward to the band exploring new creative avenues on the album. “I think it's a little bit more, sort of playful, taking chances, a little less pop, structured type of stuff,” Borland reveals. “I don't want to say it [sounds] younger, but maybe a little more carefree, musically, to where we don't over-think what we're doing.”
While Stampede of the Disco Elephants has yet to get an official release date, frontman Fred Durst told fans during a Reddit Ask Me Anything session in July he expects the album will arrive in stores sometime in “the first quarter of 2014.”
