Teens, Seek the Unknown @ Your Library

Sioux Falls S.D. (KELO AM) - In celebration of Teen Read Week, October 13 through 19, 2013, and its theme, “Seek the Unknown,” Siouxland Libraries will feature a variety of free, fun programs for middle school and high school students, as follows:


Tie-Dye Bandanas at Main Library, 4:15 to 5 p.m. Try out a new twist on tie-dyeing with Sharpies and magic elixir. 


Teen Tuesday: Teen’s Choice Book Discussion Group at Prairie West Branch, 4 to 5 p.m. Bring any book that you have read recently and share it with the group.


Teen Photo Booth at Main Library, 3 to 5 p.m. Use our backdrop and costumes to create your own “seek the unknown” persona. Photos will be posted to our teen webpage.


Edible Book Craft at Prairie West Branch, 4 to 5 p.m. Create an edible book and learn fun facts and tips on how to construct a real book.


Thriller Kinect at Main Library, 4:15 to 5 p.m. Get ready for the downtown Zombie Walk by learning this classic dance.


Giant Yahtzee at Main Library, 4:15 to 5 p.m. Play this great game with giant dice.


Teen Movie at Prairie West Branch, 2 p.m. A free, feature-length monster movie will be screened for teens.


Zombie Felties Craft at Main Library, 2:30 to 4 p.m. Make your own miniature zombie to love and cherish, using techniques from the book by Nicola Tedman and Sarah Skeate.
