High winds, dangerous wind chills and blizzard conditions are in store for today around the region.
A high wind warning is in effect for the Sioux Falls area and to the west and south. Winds could gust to 45 miles an hour with some higher gusts possible.
Blizzard warnings are in effect to the north and east of Sioux Falls, including Brookings, Watertown, Aberdeen and Sisseton in South Dakota, Marshall and Worthington in southwest Minnesota and Spencer and Spirit Lake in Iowa. No travel is advised in Day and Roberts Counties in South Dakota today.
Wind chill advisories are in effect through noon on Tuesday. Highs on Monday will not reach zero in the northern part of the area, and barely above zero near the Missouri River corridor.
