Grand Island, NE (KWSN) - Linebacker Tyler Knight was honored as the IFL’s Defensive Player of the Week for his 16 tackel, 2.5 performance in Sioux Falls’ 34-29 win over the Texas Revolution on Saturday. It’s the third time this year the former Mississippi Valley State Delta Devil has picked up the award. Knight currently leads the IFL in tackles and tackles for loss with 140 and 18.5, respectively; he also sits second in sacks at 8.5.
No other Storm players were mentioned in this week’s awards. Sioux Falls will conclude the regular season on Saturday against the Cedar Rapids Titans. The game will be a tune-up game for the United Conference championship which will be played between the same two sides the weekend of June 20th in Sioux Falls.
