SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Independent U.S. Senate candidate Larry Pressler leans on ABSCAM in his first T-V ad.
It includes the F-B-I’s, 1978 video of the bribe for political favors. Pressler’s campaign ad first ran during last weekend’s Academy Awards.
Pressler says the low-budget ad was produced at a Sioux Falls T-V station for three-hundred dollars. ABSCAM is short for Abdut scam after the name of the ficticious front company headed by an alleged shiek who was offering bribes to politicians. 31 officials were targeted and one U.S. Senator, Harrison Williams (D-NJ) and six House members were convicted of bribery and conspiracy.
