Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - Spring officially starts this week, and with the warmer temperatures, Great Bear will be closing for the season at 6 p.m. this evening.
All is not lost on the last day, as Snirt Fest 2014 gets underway at 12:30 p.m.
The send-off for Spring will include races, pond skimming and snirtball. There is a $5.00 entry fee per person per event with the proceeds going to the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society.
Great Bear was open for 106 days this year, four more than their previous best of 102. The park will not be a ghost town, as it will stay busy until the cold and snow come again later this year.
