Six years after There Will Be Blood hit theaters, Jonny Greenwood will perform his score for the film live. The Radiohead guitarist has scheduled two dates in London and two in New York City, during which he -- and supporting orchestras -- will play the entire score while the film screens.
London's performances will take place on August 6 and 7, and New York City's shows are scheduled for September 19 and 20. The New York performances will be accompanied by the Wordless Music Orchestra and take place at the United Palace Theater, which boasts the second-largest movie screen in New York City.
Tickets go on sale next Wednesday, May 14, at WordlessMusic.org .
Greenwood's score for There Will Be Blood was called "revolutionary, a sonic explosion that reinvents what movie music can be" by Rolling Stone at the time of the movie's release in 2008. It was Greenwood's first feature film score -- since then, he's composed the score of four films including Inherent Vice , which stars Joaquin Phoenix and Jena Malone and is due out later this year.
