FARGO, S.D. (KFGO.com) — It’s now confirmed.
Amazon is building a huge shipping warehouse or fulfillment center in Fargo.
The company says it will bring 500 full-time, well-paying jobs with a complete benefits package.
Mayor Tim Mahoney says the project was first proposed in June.
The building, going up northwest of hector international airport, will be one-million square-feet.
Mahoney says construction will move quickly.
Amazon hopes to have the project completed next summer.
The city had kept details of the project quiet, at Amazon’s request.
Annexation changes and zoning changes were approved as Amazon began excavation work.
The city also allowed around-the-clock construction.
Amazon also recently confirmed that they will be building some sort of facility in Sioux Falls’ Foundation Park.
