SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — By one measure, South Dakota’s coronavirus cases are going down.
According to numbers gathered by the New York Times, South Dakota has seen a 31% decrease in daily cases per 100,000 in population taken over the past 14 days.
South Dakota has, according to the Times, 110 cases per 100,000 population.
Meanwhile, the United States’ rate has increased by eight percent. It has 49 cases per 100,000 population.
Minnehaha County is showing a 34% decrease during the same period. It has 127 cases per 100,000 population.
Lincoln County shows a 43% decrease. It has 102 cases per 100,000 population.
By the Times’ numbers, South Dakota still has a higher rate of cases per 100,000 than the nation as a whole.
