SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) – Temperatures in the Sioux Falls area are expected to warm up significantly this weekend, according to local forecasters and the National Weather Service.
“We’re looking at some really warm temperatures, much above average for this time of year,” South Dakota State Climatologist Laura Edwards told KELO Radio’s It’s Your Business with Bill Zortman this week. “I don’t know about 70s by next week, but we are seeing low 60s, even here over the weekend.”
Mild and dry all the way through the upcoming weekend. Highs will mainly be in the 50s and 60s. Enjoy! pic.twitter.com/dIs3BRgi9k

The warm weather will come as a relief for many after extreme cold forced power outages on February 16.
