SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Sioux Falls woman who pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter of her newborn infant son 40 years will be sentenced tomorrow (Thursday).
Theresa Bentaas, 60, faces a possible life sentence without parole tomorrow at 9 a.m. in front of state circuit court Judge Bradley Zell.
Authorities say Bentaas abandoned “Baby Andrew” on the then edge of east Sioux Falls to die soon after his birth on or about February 28, 1981.
The case remain unsolved for nearly four decades until advances in DNA technology.
