SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A new study says that over the past two decades, South Dakota has had the fifth-highest hospital admission rate in the nation.
That’s according to the Kaiser Family Foundation.
South Dakota admitted 115 patients per 1,000 people.
North Dakota ranked seventh at 113 patients per 1,000 people.
The national average during that time was 95 per 1,000 people.
