WATERTOWN, S.D. (KELO.com) — The pain at the pump keeps getting worse.
The price of a gallon of regular unleaded at a number of Watertown gas stations rose to $4.19 a gallon Monday, while some stations at mid-morning remained at $3.99.
AAA Auto Club is reporting the national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is at $4.32 a gallon, which is just a penny lower than the all-time high of $4.33 a gallon reported on March 11th.
Diesel prices have never been higher. Nationally, the average is $5.54 a gallon.
In South Dakota, the statewide average for a gallon of regular unleaded is $4.04 a gallon. Diesel prices are averaging $5.38 a gallon in South Dakota.
