SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — It’s the End of Watch for an Iowa police officer.
Algona Police Officer Kevin Cram was killed Wednesday night after serving an arrest warrant.
As Officer Cram approached the suspect’s home, the suspect came outside with a shotgun and opened fire at close range.
Cram was struck multiple times and later died at a local hospital.
In the meantime, the suspect led authorities on a four hour manhunt, eventually being taken into custody in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota.
Officer Kevin Cram leaves behind his wife and two young children.
