HARRISBURG, SD (KELO.com) — Two men are facing arson charges following fires at a Harrisburg business at about one this morning. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call and doused a burning pile of bundled firewood. The Harrisburg Fire Department discovered another active fire near the back of the same building a short time later. Deputies searched the area for the suspects and did interviews.
Two suspects were able to be identified. At around 3:00 a.m., Deputies located the two suspects in an apartment complex a few blocks away and took them into custody without incident. A 24-year-old male from Sioux Falls was arrested and booked into the Minnehaha County Jail on two counts of 2nd degree arson. A 23-year-old male from Harrisburg was arrested and booked into the Minnehaha County Jail for aiding and abetting, and misprision of a felony. Officials say more charges are possible as the investigation continues.
