Soooo SAD to see 1st thing this morning that due to “lack of Entrants/Low Participation” the DownTown 4th of July Holiday Parade is NOT gonna go down again this year according to the City. We missed the last 2 due to weather concerns & things tend to happen in 3’s, which is unfortunate for this event.
There are other Festivities goin’ on in CELEBRATION of the upcoming Holiday….
June 29:
● 8 p.m. | Municipal Band Performance at Terrace Park Band Shell
June 30:
● 6-8 p.m. | Patriotic Kick-Off at Jacobson Plaza at the Falls: Family activities including crafts and history trivia.
July 1:
● 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. | American Field Day at The Westside Recreation Center: Classic games and competitions.
July 2:
● 6 p.m. | 4th of July Celebration Cornhole Tournament at Jacobson Plaza: Teams of two (ages 18+). Registration Required.
July 3:
● 5:30 p.m. | Patriotic Bike Parade at Jacobson Plaza: Participants (ages 6+) are invited to decorate their bicycles or scooters then parade around the Skate Ribbon.
Friday, July 4 (Independence Day):
● 11 a.m. | Community Lunch (Levitt Bandshell Downtown Sioux Falls): Lunch for first 2,000 attendees on Phillips Avenue.
● 3:30-5 p.m. | Free Swimming at Terrace Park Family Aquatic Center: Complimentary admission including Wibit inflatables and other games with a patriotic theme.
● 5-8 p.m. | July Open Streets (Phillips Avenue between 6th and 7th Streets): Pedestrian activation with various games and activities brought to you by Downtown Sioux Falls and South Dakota AARP.
● 7 p.m. | Andrea Ross and her Orchestra at the Levitt at the Falls: Free performance by acclaimed vocalist Andrea Ross as a part of the 2025 Levitt Concert Series.
July 5:
● 9-11 a.m. | Free Fishing Fun at Family Park: Free fishing opportunity brought to you by SD Game Fish and Parks. Poles/bait provided on firstcome, first-served basis.
● 1-3:30 p.m. | Watermelon Roll at Tuthill Park: Bring your watermelons for a rolling competition. Prizes will be awarded to the top three watermelons that achieve the farthest and shortest rolls.
