PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — South Dakota legislators will spend a lot of time talking about marijuana before the end of the session.
A bill was introduced last week to delay the implementation of medicinal marijuana at least a year.
Representative Mike Stevens of Yankton says there are a lot of details to sort through.
“I don’t feel like there’s any type of feelings from legislators that are trying to get rid of it or do anything in that regard, I know there has been rumors that that’s what’s happening but it’s just not true,” Stevens said.
Initiated Measure 26 was set to go into effect on July 1st of this year. It will probably have to wait until 2022.
