SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A Sioux Falls man sits in jail on a number of charges connected to a fentanyl bust last night (Tuesday).
Authorities arrested Jacob Clayton Winters, 24, from Sioux Falls in his car.
A search turned up meth pipes and scales.
Law enforcement then executed a search warrant on his motel room in the 3000 block of West Russell.
There police found 27 grams of fentanyl in both powder and 50 tablets pressed into pill form.
Detective Lt. Randy Brink says the raid likely saved hundreds of overdoses from the powerful narcotic.
Brink says finding the drug in pill form is unusual in Sioux Falls.
