SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A new survey by Wallethub says South Dakota is the 36th safest state during the pandemic.
They examined rates of COVID-19 transmission, positive testing, hospitalizations, and death, as well as the share of the eligible population getting vaccinated.
The highest-ranked regional state was North Dakota in 18th place.
Minnesota was 22nd, Nebraska 28th, Iowa 32nd, Montana 33rd, and Wyoming 47th.
