SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — New data on the coronavirus shows that South Dakota has the worst increase in the nation in its hospitalization rate but the lowest rate of deaths.
That’s according to the New York Times Coronavirus Tracker.
Over the past two weeks, South Dakota has seen a 126% increase in hospitalizations.
That’s the biggest increase in the nation.
However, it also currently has the lowest percentage of deaths from the coronavirus at 0.03 deaths per 100,000 population over the past seven days.
