BRANDON, S.D. (KELO.com) — The City of Brandon says there is a scam going around that purports to raise money for the Brandon Police Department.
It doesn’t.
Several Brandon citizens have received the fundraising appeal.
The City of Brandon says on Facebook, “This is a scam! The Brandon Police Department will never ask you for money!”
They say if receive such a letter, shred it and throw it away.
