South Dakota is one of 46 states that has seen an increase in COVID-19 cases over the past seven days.
South Dakota’s rate has increased by over 58%, making it the 14th highest rate increase in the country over the past week.
That’s according to the Johns Hopkins University Coronavirus Resource Center.
The state is reporting a daily average of 957 cases.
Iowa has one of the highest rates of increase at 7th highest and over a 79% increase.
Minnesota and Nebraska are on the low end of the states with increasing rates.
Minnesota has the 32nd highest rate increase, Nebraska the 46th highest.
Only two states, Hawaii and North Carolina, have seen a decrease in cases.
Two other states, Alaska and Michigan, have flat rates of increase.
