SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) –A Rapid City man sits in jail after taking an ax to 18 new cars at a dealership Monday evening.
He is Joseph Matthew Blackbonnet, 32.
Sioux Falls Police don’t know why the ax-wielding man was breaking car windows at the Graham Automotive Audi dealership on 41st Street.
According to someone shooting video of the incident across the street on 41st Street, the man was nonchalantly taking an ax to the right side of the front windshields of the new vehicles in broad daylight.
Blackbonnet then went across the street to another car lot and started smashing windows.
Another video showed what appeared to be police investigating outside the Graham dealership after his rampage.
Police arrested Blackbonnet at the scene.
