SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — It’s a big day at the USS South Dakota memorial in Sioux Falls.
This marks the 80th anniversary of the commissioning of the ship.
At 10 am this morning there is a reunion of those who served on the USS South Dakota.
At 2 pm there is a book signing with Paul Stillwell, author of the book, “The USS South Dakota; A Historical Review of the Famed Battleship X”
Stillwell will speak at both events.
The public is invited, and admission is free.
The memorial is located at west 12th and Kiwanis Ave.
