SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Today’s Cinco de Mayo celebration in Sioux Falls has been canceled for this year.
The safety of everyone involved has been taken into consideration as the weather service predicts severe storms for this afternoon.
Sadly, the decision was reached Friday to cancel the event, which was scheduled to be held at Falls Park.
The decision was made to give entertainment and vendors time to make appropriate plans.
Organizers are looking forward to 2024’s Cinco de Mayo celebration, which is scheduled to be held on May 11th of next year.
