SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Big changes are underway in Brookings.
Jodi Schwan with Sioux Falls Business says the parent company of TJ Maxx took a big risk when they decided to add a store in the growing community.
Additionally, the construction of a new boutique hotel is underway on the edge of downtown.
Schwan adds that Brookings is on the verge passing Aberdeen as the third largest city in South Dakota, which is getting the attention of national retailers.
