SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Authorities make an arrest in the homicide of a man found in a ditch near Brandon during a grass fire Saturday.
Minnehaha County Sheriff’s officials arrested Lamont Dion Walker, 48, from Sioux Falls Sunday.
He is charged with the death of Saivaughn Robert Carlstrom, 22, also from Sioux Falls.
Walker is charged with first-degree murder.
Walker is also charged with the kidnapping and rape of another victim.
Sheriff Mike Milstead credited excellent interagency cooperation among the Brandon Police Department, Sioux Falls Police, the Minnehaha County Jail staff, and Minnehaha County Deputies in obtaining a quick arrest in the case.
Walker has a first appearance in court this afternoon.
