It’s Ace (with the face for Radio)

Ace is a nickname given to him at a young age. One Halloween he dressed up as Ace Frehley of KISS, and the name just stuck!

Since coming to South Dakota (by way of the “Rural Attorney Program”) he owns Ace’s ShopWise thrift store, and served a term as Mayor of Salem, S.D. during COVID, and through 2 Derechos! (Widespread, long-lived, straight line, dangerous wind event).

He has a long line of music in his blood. Born and raised in the Buckeye State of Ohio. (Columbus) He listened to the radio everyday, and was inspired by “Stereo Quad” Suzy Waud on 92X to be a future D.J.

He played brass, and drums in the school bands and drum corps. Sang in choirs, ensemble, and state competitions. After graduating from Radio/Television Broadcasting at the Fort Hayes Center for the arts, he started his own mobile D.J. Company, interned with WNCI in Columbus, and was on air a few years with Radio U in Westerville/Columbus Ohio.

He’s D.J.’d in the Caribbean, and around the globe on Cruise Ships. Most recently for Holland America Cruise Lines from the Netherlands, to Norway, Iceland, Scotland, all ports in the Mediterranean, the Baltic states, Mexican Riviera, Panama Canal, and Canada.

He’s seen KISS more than 30 times, and has a long time crush for Chrissie Hynde. (the Pretenders)
