PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — Attorney General Marty Jackley says a new state law requiring access to statewide voter registration files doesn’t conflict with a prior existing law. The new law went into effect July 1st, creating concerns when over seven-thousand people registered to vote while applying for welfare benefits. Releasing the information of how they registered violated laws protecting the identity of people who seek government assistance
