TEA, S.D. (KELO.com) –A Saturday night standoff leads to a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Tea police responded to a report of a suspicious person and encountered an armed suicidal subject.
Tea police, Lincoln County Sheriff’s office, Lennox police, South Dakota Highway patrol, Sioux Falls police, and the Turner County Sheriff’s department set up a perimeter.
At approximately 9:20 pm, the subject was wounded by a self-inflicted gunshot and transported to an area hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
