SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — It’s been one of the most reliable sources of water for Sioux Falls residents for over 70 years. Now, its replacement will keep Well 25 producing into the future at five times the capacity. City Water Superintendent Chris Meyers celebrated its completion this morning on the city’s north side. “The location we’re at today is a long term location. Our Well 25 was located on this property before. That well served us for over 70 years. It was a great resource to our entire community.” The new well increases capacity to 5.5-million gallons per day. It cost over 9-million dollars, but grants covered over 8-million.
