COLMAN, S.D. (KELO.com) – As we previously told you three Flandreau area students were killed in a motor vehicle accident.
Authorities have released new details in Monday’s multiple vehicle crash on I-29 near Flandreau that claimed four lives.
An 88-year-old Minnesota man was driving northbound in the southbound lanes of the interstate when he collided head-on with a southbound vehicle driven by a 15-year-old girl.
She was killed in the accident, along with two of her passengers – a 12-year-old girl and a 16-year-old girl.
The Minnesota man also died.
None of them were wearing seatbelts.
