LYMAN COUNTY, S.D. (KELO.com) – Lyman County Auditor Julie Clement is ready for the election despite being assigned late to the position.
Deputy Auditor Abby Martin says Clement was appointed to the position after the former auditor resigned in July and Martin has only been in her position since February.
Despite both being new to their positions, Lyman County says absentee and mail-in voting have gone on without a hitch so far this election season.
Martin says it helps that many of the poll workers have experience from previous elections and know what to do.
They are hoping for a solid turnout today.
