ELK POINT, SD (KELO.com) — The City of Elk Point is letting residents know major clogging issues are causing a back-up in the wastewater system. Larger, non-flushable items are causing blockages and mechanical failures in the sewer system and will soon lead to backups into homes, service disruptions and increased utility costs. Do Not Flush: Towels/Rags, Wipes, including those that say flushable, paper towels, clothing, female hygiene products, contraceptives and grease.
