Brookings man sentenced to 30 years in prison for abusing 3-month old daughter

BROOKINGS, SD (KELO.com) — A Brookings man faces the next 30 years in prison without parole for abusing his three month old daughter.  Bailey Melchor pleaded guilty to aggravated battery on an Infant, aggravated assault and child abuse charges.  The baby’s injuries were so severe the child had to be transferred to a Sioux Falls Hospital for treatment.
